while the biased left wing media undercounted TFG's 3 million attendees.

The post above, to me, was OBVIOUS sarcasm when the OP said "3 million".......
I grew up in the NY/NJ area so sarcasm is in my DNA, so to speak, so it's easily recognized.

Some people are just a LEETLE BIT too eager to light into someone over insignificant points. It gets tedious.

(51 posts)And why I come here less and less.
In a time when the Harris/Walz campaign has ushered in fresh glee into our daily political lives, the feeling here has at times been one of condemnation for those of us who are not frequent posters but occasionally like to try.
Instead this forum has become rather cliquey.
Im sure there will be plenty of clap-backs now, and my post will be removed by the moderator, which is unfortunate because it isnt meant to be negative.

(1,926 posts)I don't have names memorized, I recognize quite a few of the really sweet posters, but, I have never looked up someone's account to see if they are a newbie or an old timer. I assumed it was just a few people, like it is in the world in general.
My main comment to the original poster is, why can't we believe our eyes when we see these pictures? Went do they keep saying it is so close?

(1,926 posts)I just spoke to my daughter in Western Nebraska. Of course they hate Kamala. She said they are having fits over her. I keep forgetting about how much women are despised in America, and a brown woman as well.
Hated will bring them out to vote.

(13,598 posts)troll post the previous day which expressed similar views. Fortunately it was removed quickly. Not everyone on DU reads carefully and we were provided with the sarcasm smiley for a reason. Im sure its beneath your dignity, however dumb folks like me appreciate it.

(12,543 posts)And found nothing about getting paid to show up at protests/rallies. So I signed up for emails. Maybe they will send me the secret codes in one of the emails.
I wouldn't take $1,000,000 to go to a pedo Trump rally though. There isn't enough money in the world for me to sell out our democracy.

Tucson is a heavily democratic city, in a county where Democrats regularly get 58-60% of the vote.

(3,446 posts)Stein is a good guy, and the Republicans nominated the worst possible candidate (next to Trump)!
Im wondering also if there will be some reverse coattails in November, since the Democrats have a fantastic slate of statewide candidates: Stein, Jeff Jackson, Braxton Winston and Mo Greene, who is certainly motivating a lot of people in his race with that crazy, wacked-out Michele Morrow.
Hoping for blue state status!

(21,952 posts)any THREE of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin will clinch the White House for Harris. TCF would need to win FOUR of those to put us in danger.
On edit: we may even be welcoming President-elect Harris by 10 p.m. Election Night if we also win Pennsylvania and Georgia.

(14,788 posts)My prediction is we will take all of those states. Barring the unforseen, the only one of those that feels even remotely iffy to me is Georgia. Theres the energy, the work is being done, we are all out here making the calls, Our candidate is out there making herself known. The other "guy" is out there exposing himself.

(17,337 posts)CSPAN showed it. Crowd was fired up.
The CSPAN schedule had the event to be on at 7PM after the Trump Tuscon rally. But when I tuned in to recheck 20 mins before hand and she was already on. I wondered if CSPAN had cut away from Trump, who when I tuned in for a few secs, was very low energy.

(276 posts)Unbelievable! Crowd was fabulous and HUGE! So well organized. For anyone saying everyone was bussed in - indeed many of us were - from a hotel parking lot two miles down the road because the parking lot at the venue was too small. 😂. The joke on the busses in both directions was Where are our checks? 😂
Before the rally, the line was incredible. Took us ten minutes just to find the end of it. There was a young man with a sign End of line here! UNC students were passing out bottles of water. Took us more than an hour to get inside. After the rally, we were in line for an hour and a half waiting for the return shuttle. Great time and no complaints. Great people to chat with, high energy. The campaign was giving out water, hot dogs and ice cream. Unfortunately I didnt know about the hot dogs and ice cream until we had been in the line to return for about an hour. But they made for a great little snack as we were waiting for our return to the hotel on the bus.
All this to say that yes, the busses are real. But not for the reasons that the Trumpsters would have people believe. They were an appreciated convenience to make it easy and stress free to attend these rallies - even if the lines were long to get on one!
