General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDoes the FBI know that Trump is a Russian agent and provocateur?
They have known since before he won the election in 2016?
But there is nothing they can do?
I have believed he was working for Putin since the very first days of his presidency. When he invited the Russian officials into the White House, but with no American press, and when General Flynn was busted on the phone with the same Russians, even before he was inaugurated.
There were so many questionable instances, such as his secret meeting with Putin at Helsinki.
Now, it is reported that he made a comment in the debate the other night that the only foreign official he had talked with since his defeat in 2020, was Putin?
It's a helluva Manchurian candidate story but is it possible that it may be true?
And there is not a thing that our government can do about it except make Putin pay in Ukraine and try to keep Trump from winning the White House again.
Trump had all of America's top secrets which he stole and took to Mar-a-Lago.
Truth has always been stranger than fiction.
There is nothing as ridiculous as a conspiratorial mind.

(115,407 posts)I remember a committee hearing where all the Trump accomplices, including Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy, and others, made Comey promise that he would inform them of any and all information regarding Hillary's emails, and I have believed that it was Republican Congressmen that scared Comey moreso than Trump. They extorted him. After that, he stood up to Trump and was fired for it.

(115,407 posts)He never said he was on the side of Ukraine.
He was very vehement that he wanted the killing to stop. Too many people were dying, as if he really cared.
But he seemed to be angry for his boss, Putin.

(79,056 posts)It is important to remember the timeline. You correctly noted part of that in post #5 regarding Comey, at the end of his infamous press conference, saying he would notify Congress if anything else came to light. Comey had taken the lead after the Attorney General had an ill-timed private meeting on a plane with Bill Clinton. This raised questions, obviously, and was a bad choice no matter what they were actually discussing.
The FBI had not included trump in the Russian investigation until the day after he fired Comey. Until then, they were primarily interested in Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, the double-agent dealing in energy, and three Russian companies, and 26 Russians.
