that. It would come right out of his wealthy supporters hides. No way it could happen without people making fortunes off of energy taking a big hit.

Yeah, right. And Mexico is going to pay for a brand spanking new border wall. Come to think of it, how come nobody ever asks TSF whatever happened to that?
He will say anything he thinks will buy him a few votes. And of course the rubes will fall for it.

(10,415 posts)would mean energy costs would return to levels they were in the 1990's. If Trump was capable of making that happen, then why didn't he do it between 2017 and 2020? (rhetorical question obviously) In fact, energy costs rose about 10% total while he was president. This is definitely one of his biggest lies that he thinks his stupid followers will believe (and he's probably right about his followers) but for it to work, he needs people who don't already support him to believe it - most of those people are far smarter than that. Anybody with a functioning brain should be able to hear Trumps claim and know immediately what he's saying is impossible and he's just trying to bullshit you to get your vote. And once he got that vote, he couldn't care less what energy cost - if energy doubled or even tripled at that point he wouldn't care because it wouldn't significantly impact himself.
