The reason I feel good about this election

And please don't GOTV me. I already know that as well as everyone else on this site.

I want to describe our strength in the 7 swing states.

We have the advantage in the three top statewide offices (2 Senators and Governor) in 6 of the 7 swing states. The Democrats hold all 3 in 3 states: Pennsylvania, Michigan and Arizona. We hold 2 of 3 in Nevada, Georgia and Wisconsin. The Republicans hold 2 of 3 in just North Carolina.

In addition, the Democrat holds a comfortable polling lead in every state that has a statewide contest this year. North Carolina (Gov.), Michigan (Sen.), Wisconsin (Sen.)., Pennsylvania (Sen.), Arizona (Sen.), Neveda (Sen.).

2. so I'm not really saying this out loud, because jinxes, but my thoughts:

I think that if the trend of the election results over the past few years (Roe underpolling and TFG overpolling) hold, and I think they do now that IVF has been added to the fight, the election night map is gonna be a thing of beauty. Needle historically moved more than a tad, and I think will again.

I also think there will be an underswell of R women (c'mon white women - please do the right thing this time!) voting blue, but not discussing it out loud, or fibbing about who they're voting for to their trumpy friends that will move the needle a tad.

I also think that traditional conservatives will not be sitting out this election or skipping the top of the ticket to avoid voting for TFG, but not for a D candidate, will be filling in that oval for Harris. They viscerally want to kill the trump movement and reorganize their party and are willing to burn it to the ground to do so. I see this moving the needle a tad.

I also think (based on previous experience with the Obama campaign) that the rural ground strategy will turn out voters who would have just stayed home because they are apathetic about voting as rural areas traditionally vote red. Also, two snotty rich dudes, versus Tim Walz?. I think this will move the needle a tad.

Add up a lot of tads and see where that needle ends up.

These are things I think.

4. Trump lost to Biden. Republicans have had trouble with recent elections.

-Has he not grown his support.
-Enthusiasm is definitely down as you can see his events.
-JD.
-Trump is deteriorating.

All these give me hope.

GOTV obviously.
