(113,971 posts)Honestly, though, if I try to be as fair, and unbiased as possible, I still can't imagine how his schtick has not become intensely and unbearably OLD, stale, mind-numbingly BORING by now.
I can't believe so many people keep showing up. Maybe they feel somewhat obligated even though so many can't bring themselves to stay for his entire mind-numbing speech.

(7,591 posts)That's how the republican began the event.
He went on to spew more republicanisms and lies, as usual, as the crowd steadily thinning out.
Soon the republicon felon will realize the truth: It sucks to be a LOSER.

But what happens if he slimes his way into our White House in November before that happens?

Let's hope he decompensates totally real soon.

so which is it? are they all "illegal aliens" or, is TCFSF lying again about who's getting the jobs these days?
for context, he said at his rally, that ALL of the new jobs in the Biden administration went to "illegal aliens."

Ok, they are bored with the same old whines. But will they vote Harris? Probably just won't vote. I wish they would try a Harris rally, they would enjoy it.

(31,308 posts)i'd have to ask how long do i have to stay, and how much will you pay me to go?
on the other hand I have already regretfully passed up 2 chances to see Kamala (the first with Biden no less). The first time we were having a heat wave and I could not face standing for who knew how long in the brutal heat, and the 2nd time I was unable to get anyone to go with me. The silver lining about that is that these were both in NC, where the Harris Walz campaign is getting huge, enthusiastic crowds wherever they go.
I took my then 15-year-old son out of school for a day and took the day off work to see Obama speak in 2008. well, to kinda see him; we were very far away! maybe just to say we were there.

It wasn't until I was 23 years old and saw Winston Churchill sitting in a horse drawn carriage in Sevilla, Spain, surrounded by his painting gear that I put the historical pieces together!

Others are trump fanatics, following him around to be part of the fervor. But once the fire lows, and the wierd yammering gets going, they book it, knowing it's just downhill, and they will be at the next one anyway.

(22,590 posts)But the way he pronounces certain words drives me batty! My pet peeve right now is the way he pronounces the words millions, billions, and trillions. It sounds like he's saying meeyuns, beeyuns, and treeyuns. Every time he says one of those words, I feel like this:
It's like I've somehow unconsciously channeled all my disgust and contempt for him into having a huge overreaction to certain specific words.

(1,569 posts)blathering idiot, capable on nothing more than a word salad. He lives just to hear him self. That's why he never prepares for anything. It's all about him. Yet these idiots will still vote for him. It's unbelievable.
We are witnessing the result of true brainwashing. Even their better judgement, which is making them leave, won't change their mind in November.

(8,905 posts)And I think this could be happening to some of them. In 2016 I was working in mental health services. I had several guys in early 20s who could see the bully in him on their own.
They had dealt with people like him in school.
They would say they were voting for Biden.
My mother's main complaint about him was very simple.
She said "he is so mean." She was in her 90's, and she voted for Biden.
Even had me get her a bumper sticker that she put in her garage window.

He didn't drive a stock car round and round and round (and round) at 180 mph and run into a wall, so no NASCAR fun . . .
Instead, it's the same old song and dance, with a sprinkling of new whines and they've heard it before, so "Gosh, look at the time!"

watching this video i was suddenly reminded of one of my favorite poems, Eye and Tooth by Robert Lowell. It's a poem about depression. The people walking slowly out, they all look tired.
the last two lines:
Everyone's tired of my turmoil.

At Trumps rally in Wilmington, NC: 90-degree temperatures and no shade. Two dozen people are in a medical tent & more lined up outside. Some people are hitting the exits. Trump has not yet arrived.
