Trump could be one of the largest mass-killers in U.S. history.
He knew the virus was deadly, yet he still encouraged people to attend his rallies because he required their adulation.

(13,003 posts)He and his CABAL, are easily responsible for more than half the deaths. And more, considering the Red States, Fla, Tx, that weren't even keeping counts......
Besides ALL of them being Malignant Narcissists, they all have a bigly amount of SADISM built into their DNA as well as Psychopathic Genes.........
They all are like a new lethal version of Cancer..............

(13,003 posts)1) When DeSantis said there was no virus, and invited hundreds of college kids down to his cesspool of covid to make sure the revenue poured into his coffers. He knew they would all return to their homes across the U.S like Typhoid Mary's....
2) Totally un-noticed was when Noem did the same up in her state, by allowing Sturgis to take place, with 400 to 500 Thousand people in close quarters........It was estimated she made a cool 100 Million in tax revenue for her state of 500K? total population. Truly a windfall to her State's tax revenues...... Then, like DeSantis, she sent them all back to their homes across the United States, so all the other states would have to provide care and further spread the Virus.....The locals who had to provide services to this crowd, started coming down with Covid. Of course being a piss ant populated state, she had no hospitals for treating them, an succeeded in exporting the people of SDakota that contracted Covid, to other states for them to bear the financial burden of caring for them.
Her Sadistism wasn't realized/recognized until she shot her hunting dogs, merely because they were no use to her any more.

Anyone doing any real thinking, wouldn't even think of attending, and without a mask....
Hell no.

(296,118 posts)When news hit that former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain died of COVID-19 a month after he attended then-President Donald Trump's rally in Tulsa last summer, many of the president's campaign staffers blamed themselves for his death, according to a new book.
"We killed Herman Cain," one senior Trump staffer reportedly told ABC News reporter Will Steakin, who also attended the Tulsa event on June 20, 2020.
That's according to an excerpt of ABC News' chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl's forthcoming book, "Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show," published in Vanity Fair on Thursday. The book is slated to come out on November 16.

(3,210 posts)...to the Tulsa rally or at the rally itself. The irony was that only about a month or so before, Cain was a willing participant in the culture-war Twitter battles over Covid. I recall a couple of Cain's tweets, telling his audience "it's just a cold" and similar nonsense. Cain, who was not a doctor, had no qualifications to offer any opinion whatsoever about Covid--and worse yet, he was a recent cancer survivor, which made him a sitting duck for the virus.
Hence the subreddit enacted in his honor, r/HermanCainAward.

... the origins of this astute observation, but it's dead-nuts accurate:
(in describing Trump) It's as if we scraped all that is vile, malicious, and mendacious about America off a men's room floor, stuffed into a rancid sausage skin, and taught it to make noises with its face.
The Orange Bully has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. None. And, hey, Trump-humpers. What does your continued admiration for this Gangrenous Boil On The Ass of Humanity say about you?
Nothing good, that I can tell you.

(12,667 posts)It really trips his trigger.
He was so happy when COVID hit because it hurt and killed so many Americans.
He would have died from it too if he didn't have all that experimental medicine and doctors working round the clock to save his huge butt. He was lucky to have been the president at that time because otherwise he would have died from COVID like all the other overweight COVID deniers.
But.....would we even have had COVID if not for Trump? He had taken away funding and shut down our partnership with China, and other countries, to prevent epidemics about 9 months before COVID hit the US.

(3,210 posts)...information (which he had obtained through intelligence briefings) about its lethality. Then when he contracted Covid through his own stupidity--probably at one of his idiotic rallies---he got absolutely heroic measures which saved his life, including at least 16 courses of Regeneron antibody treatment.
Because Trump turned Covid into another front in the culture war, soon the MAGA chuds got in on the action as well. It wasn't long before his moronic followers created conspiracy theories about the vaccines (RFID chips, etc.) and refused to take them--even being fired from their health care jobs for their refusal. Extremist radtrad Catholics disobeyed a direct order from their Pope to get vaccinated (it was a requirement for everyone at the Vatican!) and helped create one of the most ridiculous vaccine conspiracy theories ever ( "baby parts!" ).

(22,590 posts)I definitely believe he enjoys deliberately inflicting pain on people he considers his enemies. To him, revenge is a dish best served piping hot and as often as possible
But I actually doubt he gets any particular thrill from causing sickness and death with his rallies. He desperately needs the narcissistic supply he gets from those events and if people get sick and die as a result, he simply. Does. Not. Care. I think that's actually worse in a way.

(14,896 posts)I am truly sorry (not just empty words) that the evil orange fuck caused you such horrendous pain.
I am against the death penalty.
I am against torture.
I am not against punishment.
I think trump should be shoved into an orange jumpsuit and have his head shaved on live TV and spend the rest of his days in prison.
Not a country club prison, but the kind of prison that many innocent Americans are locked up in.
He should not be allowed any visitors.
He should not be allowed to talk to the press.
He should not have any phone privileges.
I hope my post doesn't offend you or minimize you feelings in any way.

https://www.vox.com/2020/10/31/21543277/trump-rallies-covid-19-deaths-superspreader-stanford-study-infections
The study examined 18 counties that hosted Trump rallies in locations such as Tulsa, Oklahoma; Phoenix, Arizona; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, held between June 20 and September 22. It then compared the rate of post-rally Covid-19 infections in the host counties to that of comparable counties that did not host a rally. Attendance at individual rallies varied, but Trump often draws thousands of supporters to these events.
For the vast majority of county matching procedures we employ, the authors wrote, our estimate of the average treatment effect across the eighteen rallies implies that they increased subsequent confirmed cases of COVID-19 by more than 250 per 100,000 residents. The researchers B. Douglas Bernheim, an economics professor at Stanford, and Stanford grad students Nina Buchmann, Zach Freitas-Groff, and Sebastián Otero extrapolated that figure to the entire sample, concluding that the rallies led to thousands of new infections and, likely, hundreds of deaths.
As the authors acknowledge, trying to identify exactly how many infections resulted from a Trump rally (or any other potential superspreader event) is not easy. Factors such as whether the rally is held indoor or outdoor, whether a large number of infected people attended, whether attendees wore masks, and the distribution of infected individuals among rally attendees can all lead to vastly different rates of infection.
Likewise, while the authors estimate Trumps summer rallies led to more than 700 deaths, they note those deaths were not necessarily among attendees. For example, a rally-goer may become infected with a mild case, but that same rally-goer might give the virus to his wife, who gives it to a coworker, who gives it to their sister, who dies of Covid-19.
TFG does NOT care about the health of his supporters
