Bulfinch Group: Georgia, NC, Fla (good numbers)

This Southeastern state polling of Georgia: Harris plus 2, North Carolina: Harris plus 1 and Florida: Trump plus 1, is very encouraging, if accurate. I write in this caveat because the polling from different sources is showing different trends. CNN has Harris up just 1 point nationally. Ipsos has her up 6 points nationally. Even the swing states have different results from pretty reputable polling sources. I think we just don't know and won't know until they count the votes. In the meantime, I'm sitting here in the Philippines, a retired American citizen (I contributed $500 to Harris) biting my nails up to my elbow.

Sometimes, one of these pollsters will stand out after election. Remember Trafalgar was the best pollster after predicting a Trump win in 2016? They predicted MI and PA for Trump.

Steve Kornacki had a good assessment yesterday. A DUer had already posted that. Trump share of black voters is 15% and Hispanics 41%. That would result in dicey situation in NC, GA, NV, and AZ. I can never tell why some Hispanics, who were called vermins by Trump, vote for him. Anyway, this is sad.

Steve also said, in the past, working class white voters from PA and MI, sometimes vote against their own interests and vote for cult figure Trump. These are Dems. As we know, we have our own racist misogynist leaning Dems. Have the polls accounted for these people after mistakes in 2020 and 2022? That is the big question. On the other hand, I think Dems internal polls are way better than any of these pollsters. So, we have to see where Harris is travelling in the next several weeks. Those are based on good internal polls.
