"In the past few years, you've called trump a lot of names. You've said that 'trump is cultural heroin'....'trump is unfit for our nation's highest office'...'trump is America's Hitler'....'trump is a moral disaster'..
You said 'I'm a Never Trump guy'...
"And yet...here you are....Why would we trust anything you say now?"

(1,940 posts)I respect a "flip flop" that is someone changing their mind in light of new evidence, or someone like Kamala who is now representing/ balancing the needs of an entire nation instead of just a very blue slice of CA - who might choose to modify a position in light of having a different constituency. This used to be called "pivot," and it was considered a good thing.
But THIS.... this is a crazy extreme falling off a cliff version of flipf lop. how on EARTH can he explain it? Its a great question and i hope it gets asked.

(6,122 posts)And predict that Walz will be armed with every contradictory statement Vance has ever uttered. Being a former football coach and high school teacher, Walz is no shrinking violet. I am actually looking forward to this debate. Vance will be prepped, too, but he might have met his match when Walz lets loose! Let the games begin!

(31,761 posts)He's a drag on the ticket short term, and he doesn't have enough charisma even to entertain a MAGA audience - and those are a bunch of stupids looking to be entertained. Should be like playing tee-ball, but he's a complete failure. I doubt that portends of future danger from him.

(13,538 posts)MAGA needs to be stimulated ALL the time. Trump gives them that. He can't
However; some people think he took the VP slot because he'll 25th Amendment trump 1/2 way into his term.

(9,770 posts)Make his private equity firm the centerpiece of your argument. Countless examples of how he profited off other peoples misery. Would farmers like him as much if they knew about Acre Trader? Would all the small town people angry about immigration see him differently if they knew about App Harvester? Maybe they would want to know about his ties to Big Tech, AI and crypto?

"The most recent disclosure, which covers until the end of 2022, also showcases the peculiar preoccupations that Vance as an investor shared with a Thiel-adjacent network of rightwing Silicon Valley venture capitalists who later spent millions supporting Vances candidacy to the Senate in 2022."

I would imagine he'll be touching on this practical point that many may not have considered.
Thats the heritage plan? Get trump/vance in office and then oust trump and their puppet is president.

(15,556 posts)You called Trump "America's Hitler" yet you insist that Democrats are responsible for violence when they call him a fascist. Since we all believed he was a threat at one time another are you trying to stop us from speaking the truth? Silencing the truth is a hallmark of fascism, isn't it? You aren't trying to silence the truth are you?
