Luckily, we'll win and keep dragging ignorant autocrat lovers, kicking and screaming, into the better world that's possible, the one they're so afraid of. The only way these hard heads will learn is the hard way, but we can't afford to let them win in order to learn that.

The state opened up emergency polling places to accommodate voters in the area. On the one hand, there are almost 2 extra weeks to respond to this event. On the other hand, Helene is a larger storm, likely to impact a wider area and it looks to have a direct bead on Tallahassee.

Of course Weather Underground gets its data just like all the rest, from the NWS.

Another favorite web site of mine was Weather Spark --- I thought it had gone out of business but it looks like it is still alive.

And Windy and VentuSky - both great!

And OpenWeatherMap.org and the source: weather.gov.

Sure, as part of the campaign we should attach his name to it, but it's definitely meant to stand back and stand by indefinitely for whoever is next -- say, shady Vance. Once they're in, they're not leaving, and SCOTUS has ruled that as OK.

Who needs a hurricane forecast center when you've got a President with a MAGIC SHARPIE? That's just more wasteful liberal nonsense.

(Sarcasm aside, this would also be the ideal time to remind everyone that Trump MISPOKE, and said Hurricane Dorian would hit Alabama. Then, because he's a petulant five year old who refuses to ever admit he made a mistake, he FIRED half a dozen people at the Hurricane Center who tried to correct the error! (Don't contradict the Donald, or you'll be FIRED, you liberal hacks!) And he even went so far as to re-draw the path of the hurricane on the map, to make the map consistent with his mistake.)

Southern Dems are awake. It's the rest who actively resist waking up to the hard adult work of seeing how the world actually works in reality. Youth of the South are gradually changing their elders' minds, if not hearts, about another world that's possible.

People can change. This is the year we'll see just how much. Mother Jones comes to mind... she said, "Pray for the dead, fight like hell for the living."
