Yeah, I knew we were on the bad side. Been at this rodeo before, my first hurricane was Hugo,
Power is out, prolly for weeks , even though Duke energy got , who knows, how much money, to build this ,new, best, substation, ever, anti- hurricane electric poles, the works, for years,


Yeah, the power is out, and I have an electric bill, due.
LilGlad and I are fine, it got somewhat loud, LilGlad just nudged closer.

11. As long as you're unfasionably inland and the winds

are "only" gale force, you'll be fine and so will the kitty. Just expect her to sulk a bit when it's over. and she goes outside to do her business and the whole world has turned into a swamp. She will not be pleased. She will likely blame you.

One thing I always forgot between those suckers was how LOUD they are.

(One of my favorite photos is of a cat who dashed out the door to the deck only to run into the year's first 6 inch snowfall. I snapped his picture as he turned around, PERFECT "What the hell did you do THIS for?" look on his face. Cats, man)
