It's strictly based on "style" versus "substance. I.e., the appearance of being "macho" and "in control".

There is a subset of men who were either raised that way or are naturally that way, who value the one who can project the most "dominance".

It cuts across age, race, and ethnicity.

I expect the thought process going on there is that whatever "policy" one desires to enact, one can merely "force it into existence by use of their shear power", without any need for "discussion", or "compromise".

The minute someone hesitates to "discuss", they are then considered "wishy-washy" and dismissed as "weak".

This is what that tunnel-visioned group is looking for.

will not be like 2016-2020. It will be a lot worse. He hates the job. He's running to stay out of jail.

He is the "figurehead".

It's the vile and criminal people brought in to "run the administration" that are the problem, since he was the first one in history to win the Presidency but had NEVER worked in ANY level of government in ANY capacity (whether elected, enlisted, appointed, or recruited as a civil servant).

He is is completely clueless as to how the government works, lacks any loyalty to it, or even cares outside of using it for grift and revenge, so he cedes the rest to his loon appointees.

And the people who would actually be running the country would be some of the worst monsters imaginable. We'd likely be subjected to psychopaths like Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, Kevin Roberts, Russell Vought, Elon Musk, and many others. They'd destroy our country while Trump played golf.

Of the most horrible, add Kash Patel and even the return of beauts like Michael Flynn and Peter Navarro too.

And one might even additionally add "newcomers" like Tulsi Gabbard and RFK, Jr.

Now is the time for everyone on our side to hunker down and put forth maximum effort for a strong finish at the ballot box, especially in all of the swing states.

in the age range of young 20-s to mid-30. Two lean to the right, 4 are just not political. College educated, married, kids, own houses. Conversations with them are interesting. Socially liberal with women's issues, but otherwise somewhat conservative. Fiscally conservative, military hawks, anti-taxes. Not gay allies, not gay enemies. Not keen on Trump, but mock Biden ruthlessly. Kind of open to Harris, but consider her invisible, she hasn't done anything. Or anything that they see in the news. They call her "Salad Shooter" due to some poor interviews of hers. Even so, still might vote for her.

Like most of Gen-Z, Millennials, a very mixed and unfocused bag.

The group of "young males" who "recall Trump 1.0 so fondly they yearn for a repeat" = alt-right incels.

Sorry, not sorry. This country has a serious problem with fascism, and it's especially concentrated among the 4chan/8chan/8kun/whatever-the-hell-they-call-it-now Pepe chud constituency. Grow up, assholes. Stop expecting a virginal trad waifu to magically appear. Abandon your ridiculous pining for a Distributist/Monarchist society straight out of a Tolkien novel. And for God's sake (pun intended), put the radtrad Latin Mass zealotry to rest!

...about a lot of the alt-right/incel/radtrad stuff, but then again, I see and read a lot of it both online and IRL. Where this country (and Western Civ in general) is going is worrisome.
