unthinking voters like the appearance of the big, tough guy who will take charge. They don't think or care about actual policies (until it affects them, then they wonder why it happened.)
I think a big part of the strategy should be to make him look as small and pathetic as he actually is. Make them see him as the weak man he really is.

(11,878 posts)An authoritarian male figure (like the one in the sky) should be worshipped and never questioned.
I grew up with these morons.
They think they are doing Gods work and they have no rational thoughts or reasoning abilities.

(32,318 posts)Haven't gotten in a fight in 55 years. I am 6 ft, tall weigh 173, scheduled for knee replacement the day before Thanksgiving, and I would love to get into the octogan with TSF.
Michael Cohen stated that TSF has never in his life gotten into a physical altercation, he gets other to do his dirty work.

(25,309 posts)Strong men lift others up. Weak men cut others down.
Strong men don't have to put on a show. Weak men pretend.
Strong men acknowledge their potential to do good and bad and choose to do good rather than blame others for their weaknesses.
Strong men are kind. They are compassionate. They are happy for the joys and success of others. They are patient, understanding and tolerant.
And they speak out and take strong action against evil deeds and harm to others.
And they know when to STFU.

(13,710 posts)He's so afraid of Kamala that he refuses to debate her a second time. He's a phoney with no real plans or policies other than what we find in Project 2025. We all know how disastrous those will be, if enacted.

(1,180 posts)If they had an authoritative father, people CAN become authoritarian themselves or seek that quality out in others. Its basically what Laura Ingrahams brother says happened to her.
Trump makes a lot of people feel safe. The irony of course being hes the one scaring them in the first place.

(27,248 posts)I have a maga brother in law and he had a real awful authoritarian father. Who didnt even attend his wedding. Nor saw any of his grandchildren because the son didnt want to become a professional golfer.
When he died the mother in law finally was able to see her son and grandchildren.

(113,954 posts)which would explain their sensitivity to fear and thus craving of authoritarianism and father figures, as well as the need for a clear (black and white) interpretation of everything sans complexity. As with much in science, there is likely to be a spectrum of such phenomena, but it is not in our imagination.

(26,848 posts)his campaign. They think he's some sort of "tough guy" who's gonna get in there and take no shit from anyone. It doesn't matter what racial or ethnic group they are a part of. The whole UFC and podcasts appearances are designed for this very purpose. To cultivate that image. Even though this fucking meat goblin can't even open a jar or walk down a ramp.
