Almost asleep and then jolted awake by this question:

What is to stop the left from raising enough money to simply PAY the right-wing Supreme Court justices to reinstate Roe vs. Wade?

I was jolted awake because of what a stupid idea it seemed to be. And now I can't think of why it wouldn't work.

potential Democratic voters that all you had to do was wave around some money at politicians of either party and they have to do whatever you say forever and be corrupt and beholden so both sides same don't vote for them -- such bullshit.

The right-wing will lose money because it's about ideology and power, of transforming society. Money in politics could be banned tomorrow and would the extremist right-wing Republican Party fanatics turn into nice reasonable bipartisan liberals? NO! DUH! Ugh.
