The last thing the states in the south need right now is to have to take workers away from rescuing people in order to

provide all the security etc. for a famous (or infamous) person. They need food, water, battery operated lights, blankets etc. for people that are stranded. Those things are being delivered by FEMA and other agencies already. They don't need to be diverted from that job because some yahoo wants to pat himself on the back and throw rolls of paper towels at people trying to look good.

IMO the proper response is to send manpower, equipment, food, water etc. and wait until the missing have been found and the work of cleaning up is well underway before viewing the destruction. Someone gawking is not helping at all.

Of course it is just my opinion.

Like Camille.

But this may not happen for a month or so, after a thorough search is made (and hopefully find the vast majority were alive but lost communication).

I expect visitations will happen before then, "show you care" and all that nonsense.

And DON"T go into the trash zones.

Some ex-military I knew swore at the thought of coping with a codel ((congressional delegation)).
