Politics 101: Handling Opponent Lies

I learned when obtaining my degree in political science and in the army as Civil Affairs specialist, that you handle each opposition lie and propaganda by:

1. Emphatically stating that the opposition is lying.
2. In the same breath, saying that the reason they are lying is 1,2 3, 4 5 etc. 1,2,3,4,5 must equal the import of the oppositions lie.

Basic stuff. Not seeing this in practice by Democrats. Why?

I also think that the Dems should make cheato's lying a major campaign issue. It's a national security risk.

…Republicans spew multiple fire hoses of lies constantly and with amplification by right wing media, businesses, influencers, evangelists, and politicians.

A new strategy is needed. Counter the lie and expose the liar(s). Like all criminals and nefarious people, they cringe, melt, or slink away from exposure.
