The quote is from "Wall Street", and was inspired by insider-trader Ivan Boesky.

More accurately, the quote is, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good."

Reagan's policies, of course, embodied and perpetuated the concept.

Republicans were following wealth long before MAGA. It's been a core concept of the party since at least the 1970s.

His policies exemplified the concept, but I see no evidence that he ever actually said the phrase.

5. Of course they are because they are told by their preacher that wealth is

something their God blesses them with because they believe and the poor don't have these blessings because they are bad. They selectively take phrases from their Bible to justify their behavior. That's why they select their sect and their pastor to only tell them what they want to hear. And if he/she doesn't, they get a new pastor who thinks like they do or they change their church. They don't want to be godlike. They want their God to be like them.
