The discrepancy in supporter turnout at Biden's and Trump’s campaign events is not a indicator of popularity, but rather the candidates’ opposing approaches to campaigning during a pandemic.

Health officials like National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins have expressed disapproval of Trump’s continued campaign rallies over the last several months.

"As a scientist, I'm pretty puzzled and rather disheartened," Collins said at a Sept. 10 CNN town hall.

https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/09/22/fact-check-joe-biden-events-smaller-because-covid-19/5780898002/

Trump, of course, killed Herman Cain with one of his crowded rallies. And then tested positive for Covid before debating President Biden. And then announced a few days later he had Covid.

So yeah, it seems Trump has kept those covid circles in his mind, since they formed part of him losing while killing his supporters.

Roger Sollenberger, senior political reporter at The Daily Beast, discussed Trump's leaps from subject to subject and recalled the image that Trump had in his mind. "So Trump says something that reminds him of SpaceX rockets and he decides to describe them landing on targets, then that image makes him recall another image of circles on the ground—social distancing at Biden campaign events 4 years ago—and he decides to talk about that,"

Mike Rothschild, a journalist and author who has concentrated on researching and writing about conspiracy theories for more than a decade, took to X to say that Trump's "lethargic and incomprehensible rambling" that went on for 90 seconds was before a "stone cold silent" crowd. However, he noted, there was a moment when someone clapped when hearing Elon Musk's name.

National security lawyer Bradley Moss asked if this is what Republican strategist and commentator Eric Erickson meant when he recalled, "'working hard to win it,' if I understand him correctly." But all Moss said he saw was, "an old man, drowning in bronzer, rambling about nothing.

I don't know how to remove the scales from a cultists eyes, and I have seen this issue with intelligent and reasoned people. I expect that for MAGA members it will be worse.

I expect that we will see a few MAGA start to recognize thesymptoms, but don't expect a lot of then to come to their senses. They were T-baggers before they were MAGA. They have and I fear they always will support the meanest, authority they can find.

I only see clips of his incoherent babblings on DU and they are usually from RSBN. I know very little about that outlet but I think it's right wing news of some sort. But you never see these clips on regular news programs. This is what scares me. I live in the Detroit area and I'll bet my life that tomorrow we will not see this on our local news. Why? I think our news media has done our country a disservice by sane washing and not showing his rambling speeches. They sure had no trouble after Biden's one debate where he was under the weather.

Then I watched ABC Nightly News tonight with David Muir only because I wanted to see what he said was going to be the entire newscast focusing on the hurricane. Then what do I hear? David Muir saying, "The election is neck and neck." I can't wrap my mind around whether that is really true and if it is I start going down that rabbit hole of "What will I do if he wins?"

I might just be tired tonight, but I get discouraged from living this long and thinking about how did we get to this place in my lifetime and what would my WWII parents say if they were still alive after all they sacrificed for this country.

I haven't a freakin' clue what was happening in that Adderall-ravaged brain at that point.

74. Space-X Booster Rockets Landing?

I THINK Trump was thinking about the rockets landing on oceanic platforms, but it could be anything from UFOs to biblical chariots of fire.

When the Muhammud was old, his followers (mostly his children) would record his increasingly incoherent ramblings as prophecy, fully convinced that he was channelling Allah. What we're seeing is the new book of Relevations, the last book in the Trump Bible, as the Prophet Trump spews unhinged prophesies, to be interpreted by the QAnon faithful.

He was talking about how SpaceX lands its boosters, which is about as he described - a cylinder landing in a circle on a raft.

And...then he went into all this bizarre shit about Biden's eight circles.

Free floating association, ideas floating around in a leaky brain, mouth in top gear, no need to form whole sentences, or complete any single thought, using a description of something when you can't find the one word that describes an object . . .

Unless your brain is equally leaky in the electrical impulse circuitry, or live with a dementia person, don't try to understand.

(Wife: one of those big things with feathers landed in the back yard, white with some black. Long snout.
Me: Oh, an ibis?
Wife: yeah, ibis)

Trump's ramblings: words of a bigly genius, or ramblings of a worn out brain?

More importantly, is Trump still POTUS material? And was he ever?

November's vote will bring the answers!

(Trump is on a downhill slide though. Eventually he will be in a wheelchair, largely immobile, and unable to speak.)

EDIT: Re dementia.
Most of us have functional, normal brains.

We have the ability to find descriptive nouns for objects easily.
We can remember things from the past and talk about them, without distorting any of those memories.
We have the ability to order several topics we want to talk about in a logical sequence.
We have the ability to talk about each topic and self check that we have completed a topic before moving to the next.

Dementia patients can do none of those things. (Personal observations. I live with one.)
