Where we need to push

As a reminder, our system of presidential elections consists of an Electoral College . What does that mean?

The Electoral College is a process, not a place. The Founding Fathers established it in the Constitution, in part, as a compromise between the election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of qualified citizens. The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. Your State has the same number of electors as it does Members in its Congressional delegation: one for each Member in the House of Representatives plus two Senators. For more info on this go to the National Achives website…..archives.gov

As many may know and may not, during a presidential election, our country has somewhat specific states that are acknowledged as leaning toward specific parties, as an example….

My old state Maryland is a blue state, vote majority democrat, and has 10 Electoral College vote
My new state South Carolina is a red state and votes majority republican and has 9 Electoral College votes.

In the 2024 election consensus, democrats start the Election Day process with presumptive votes of 226, and republican start with 219. As we know 270 is needed to win. So what is my point. The way the map looks as of now, the swing states needed to get 270 would be Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. These 3 swing states will give VP Harris 270 on the nose. Nevada would add an extra 6 vote.

I have been seeing some somewhat negative responses on here recently, and just want to point out, it’s not an impossible task, an unlikely task, or a lost cause. WE GOT THIS DEMOCRATS. We can do it. NO NEGATIVE ATTITUDES PLEASE.

THANK YOU.

As a Marylander, or Marylandian, I offer my sympathy for your loss of residence in our great blue State! 😉

Thanks, I think…

As far as retirement to the beach and marshlands of the low country, I’m fine.

As far a political horrendous situation, thanks for your sympathy…
