Politico (archived) We watched 20 Trump rallies. His racist, anti-immigrant messaging is getting darker.
A POLITICO analysis of more than 20 of his rallies and campaign events shows Trump has demonized minority groups in all of them.

Donald Trump vowed to rescue the Denver suburb of Aurora, Colorado, from the rapists, blood thirsty criminals, and most violent people on earth he insists are ruining the fabric of the country and its culture: immigrants.
Trumps message in Aurora, a city that has become a central part of his campaign speeches in the final stretch to Election Day, marks another example of how the former president has escalated his xenophobic and racist rhetoric against migrants and minority groups he says are genetically predisposed to commit crimes. The supposed threat migrants pose is the core part of the former presidents closing argument, as he promises his base that hes the one who can save the country from a group of people he calls animals, stone cold killers, the worst people, and the enemy from within.
He is no longer just talking about keeping immigrants out of the country, building a wall and banning Muslims from entering the United States. Trump now warns that migrants have already invaded, destroying the country from inside its borders, which he uses as a means to justify a second-term policy agenda that includes building massive detention camps and conducting mass deportations.
In his lengthy speech Friday, Trump delivered a broadside against the thousands of Venezuelan migrants in Aurora. And he declared that he would use the Alien Enemies Act, which allows a president to authorize rounding up or removing people who are from enemy countries in times of war, to pursue migrant gangs and criminal networks.
Kamala [Harris] has imported an army of illegal alien gang members and migrant criminals from the dungeons of the third world from prisons and jails and insane asylums and mental institutions, and she has had them resettled beautifully into your community to prey upon innocent American citizens, he said.

and say nothing. They know about the violence and hatred spewed and say nothing. If violence commences during, after the election, the blame is on shithole, corporate media both oral and written, GQP/RWers.

Former President Donald Trump has ramped up his campaign rhetoric by taking it back to a terrifying time in global history 1930s Germany, experts told Politico Saturday.
Trump's claims that migrants have "bad genes" and will "cut your throat" mimic the lies and feed on the prejudices that scholars say Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler exploited ahead of the Holocaust.
What is so jarring to me is these are not just Nazi-like statements," said Robert Jones, founder of the Public Religion Research Institute. "These are actual Nazi sentiments.".....
Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a history professor at New York University, told Politico she believed this was just the next step of a process that began when Trump mounted his first presidential campaign nearly a decade ago.
Hes been taking Americans and his followers on a journey since really 2015...instilling hatred in a group, and then escalating, said Ben-Ghiat.
Now [immigrants are] animals who are going to kill us or eat our pets or eat us, she continued. Thats how you get people to feel that whatever is done to them, as in mass deportation, rounding them up, putting them in camps, is OK.

Donald Trump broke new ground in his criticisms of Americans last year when the former president released a video in which he argued, among other things, [T]he greatest threat to Western Civilization today is not Russia. Its probably, more than anything else, ourselves and some of the horrible, U.S.A.-hating people that represent us.
Months later, in a Veterans Day message, the Republican not only referred to many Americans as vermin phrasing that echoed Hitler and Mussolini he concluded, The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within......
That was new, but it wasnt the most unsettling comment on the subject. The Washington Post reported:
.....In the next breath, in an apparent reference to Election Day concerns, the Republican concluded, It should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard or if really necessary, by the military, because they cant let that happen.
.....Trump, meanwhile, has gone from describing many Americans as evil to condemning them as vermin to equating them with the foreign enemies to labeling them the enemy from within who might even warrant some kind of military response.
Eight years later, basket of deplorables seems almost quaint.

That was new, but it wasnt the most unsettling comment on the subject. The Washington Post reported:
Former president Donald Trump said in an interview that aired Sunday that he is worried about the prospect of unspecified actions by what he dubbed radical left lunatics on Election Day, urging that the National Guard or U.S. military be deployed on American soil against those he labeled the enemy from within.
