Another Republican votes for Harris..

Mickey Edwards is a former eight-term Republican member of Congress and former chair of the House Republican Policy Committee from Oklahoma and he is voting for Harris.

"after devoting nearly 60 years to the Republican Party, holding offices within it, and working to advance it, I am going to vote for Harris for president. Every person who truly believes in the principles of the Republican Party — and in American constitutional government — should do the same."

He gives his reasons here

many if not most conservative Republicans respected our institutions, the separation of power as embedded in the Constitution, accepted certified election results, supported the peaceful transfer of power, did not provide comfort to foreign adversaries, and would not consider nominating a convicted felon as their candidate for president. Mickey Edwards would appear to be one of those Republicans from days gone by, as today's GOP is literally a wrecking ball seeking to destroy anything resembling democracy.

to mine and other Dems. I'm thinking of sending the link to my conservative sons with a short note from me, hoping that it will cause them to pause and consider.

If more and more Republicans would do this, my faith in America would begin to be restored.
