I can tell you that’s because we only have half a football team! 😂

Seriously, though, we should be putting the (men’s) athletics money into Pirate Baseball. It’s the one sport where ECU does well, and does so consistently. Since 1992, when ECU beat NC State in the Peach Bowl, I’d describe the football program as “constantly inconsistent,” at best. The best they’ve done in the years since was under Coach Ruffin McNeil, who was promptly fired by a new Athletics Director, because McNeil “wasn’t winning enough!🤦‍♂️
