anyone know how polls work? are the current kamala/trump polls including people who already voted in their tallies?

i'm trying to make sense of why trump has caught up in the national polls. i'm wondering if the pollsters discount people who have already voted, the majority of whom are dems.

1. Polls don't work

and imo mean nothing.

I'm sure my household is not the only one which doesn't respond to telephone pollsters.

Have been dumped which impacts the averages. It’s meant to demoralize democrats. Just look for the leaves internal republican polls which show Trump down and many down ballot republicans vulnerable
