was interviewing Glenn Younkin (or whatever his name is). Remember him, the "reasonable" Republican? He confronted the Governor with video evidence of DonOld saying he would use the military against enemies on the left and naming Adam Schiff as one of them.
What did "reasonable" R Younkin say? He ignored the evidence and said he "believed" trump was talking about illegal immigrants.
There are no reasonable Republicans unless they have endorsed Harris. But the media will never give up on giving them chance after chance.

That was a disgusting display of moral cowardice by Younkin, if anyone wants to know how dictators come to power, that was a profound lesson.
Tapper even read the definition of fascism to him, but Younkin kept trying to say *rump didn't mean it or shit along those lines.

(25,509 posts)I can't watch CNN anymore so I read about this on Aaron Rupar's twitter. Rupar is very reliable so I know that it happened as he said. From your excellent description, it sounds like JT asked good questions and did not let Younkin slide. It seems that the Governor is no longer trying to appeal to the many blue voters in his state.

(3,986 posts)He explicitly says "not the people who are coming in" and then describes the enemy within. How the actual F did Tapper NOT push Youngkin on that???? Was JT told not to go that far? Judging by a lot of the headlines on CNN recently, I think he was TOLD.

That's it. That's the litmus test. In this election, any Republican who is sane, honest, patriotic, ethical and courageous will endorse Harris.
Those who publicly support Trump do so either due to madness or mendacity. Those who remain silent are consumed by cowardice.
senseandsensibility
(25,509 posts)but I guess we're all coming around to the same conclusion. It also doesn't help that the corporate media is desperate to interview "rational" republicans so they built them up when there is actually nothing rational about them at all.
