MeidasTouch is reporting that it was stacked with political activists pretending to be voters asking questions. I know, he does that all the time, but here's the kicker:
He couldn't even handle questions from rightwing activists!
He chose to sway and mumble and grin like a maniac because even that was too much for him!!!

(360 posts)Banks appeared on stage with Trump and implied she left the Democratic Party she grew up in, and hit on Trump's favorite topics of immigration, inflation, and specifically mentioned "dangerous cities," all topics the Trump campaign emphasizes:
"My name is Angelina and I was raised in a Philadelphia Democrat household, a union household. As a mother of a blended family, my top issues are the same issues that face all Americans. Illegal immigration hurts Black Americans. Inflation hurts Black Americans, and dangerous cities hurt Black Americans. Like my fellow Americans, my grocery bill has not gone down. Everything is still so very expensive. What steps will your administration take to help American families suffering from this inflation?"
Just because inflation has eased doesn't mean prices are going to magically fall. It just means inflation is back to where it was pre-pandemic. Inflation happens under every presidential administration. There was inflation during Trump's presidency as well. But why would she support Trump who wants to put tariffs on goods and drive up prices more? Only Kamala Harris has plans to take on price gouging corporations. The choice should be obvious on who to vote for.

(3,744 posts)That means she didn't grow up in such a home, which would be properly described as a Democratic household.
If you are gonna be a "Democrat" poser at least fucking know it is called the DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
These people are just too damn lazy to get the simplest of things right.
Sick of this propaganda bullshit. Goebbels would be proud of this flotsam.

(2,278 posts)"Reading" (as if!) off a teleprompter, if not worse. The entire audience was likely composed of more of those stooges.
Making it especially "amusing" that he had to do a 45-minute slow-dance with no partner (who could bear it) to fill out the time. At least in this instance the "audience" was not marooned.

(39,167 posts)And yes. He planted GOP activists to ask him (pre-written?) questions. But!
I think the people fainting freaked him out. I think he is suffering from unaddressed PTSD from the assassination attempt and those attendees going down and needing medical attention both took focus away from him and probably set off a panic response in his lizard brain.

(4,039 posts)staff would provide him with music to calm him down when he got upset. There was literally a guy they called the Music Man who had a list of all his favorite songs that would placate him. At this town hall they were feeding the people playing the music his list of songs.
I'm surprised Trump even cares about music, but it seems he actually needs it like it's some kind of therapy. If so, he probably had a distorted idea of how this music town hall would affect other people. It makes him feel good, so he thinks it will make them feel good. Not understanding that no one at the town hall (or watching on TV) were seeking therapy.
Another sign of mental illness IMHO.
