Now it's a water bill we never received. That makes three.
One bill from Boston was mailed last month, we received it yesterday.
Another local letter from a friend, never arrived.
Something is going on with the post office, so be sure to walk your ballots to the elections office or use safe drop boxes when they're available.

(13,384 posts)found a bunch of mail for neighbors. We were gone 3 weeks and they were waiting for some of the things. Like you I just gave to them as we know them.

(886 posts)about the dismal service here in Midtown Atlanta. Still looking for official DMV mail I need and should have been here last week. Dont know if Ill get my absentee ballot, either, as it should have also arrived. If the government is going to use the US Postal Service to do business, said Government needs to ensure the system is working.

(5,945 posts)Anything critical now either gets sent with tracking or sent by alternative means, I simply cannot trust regular mail to arrive with 100% certainty.

(55,814 posts)We get temp/daily postmasters at holiday times. Sometimes the post office is closed. I complained, there is a sort of master postmaster 30 miles away that oversees quality. He was very nice, but really could provide no answers. But I do see now they make an effort to post if hours are irregular, and when they will be open. Usually there's one employee doing 2 hours or so at 3 offices.
There is a tracking service online. SUpposedly you can get scans of incoming mail and they'll tell you where it is located. I haven't had mail go missing in several years, but back then some pieces were misplaced into bins that got misplaced. What was amazing was if you found someone to help, they could go on the computer and search the route and find exactly where the item was. I had to call New Mexico once to ask them to find a certain piece and jostle it loose. Only knew to do that because the USPS here took the time to locate. Now, no one will take the time.

Sorry you're having issues. Maybe you have mail thieves looking for checks to wash.
