(114,683 posts)I can't quite match that, but upon completing my very LONG & detailed mailed Colorado ballot, my sweet pup gave it a little kiss for good luck for Kamala & Tim before I sealed it up and took it to the secured drop box.
So, come on folks, get your non-politically-addicted friends and family to an early voting site (and make sure they are well informed beforehand! ) Don't let my little furry girl down!

(4,878 posts)Thanks to our SOS I had to sign an affidavit that I was authorized to drop my husbands ballot without him being there .even though the folks at the BOE have seen me do this twice a year for 25 years. Disgusting!

(3,437 posts)My husband and I (were pikers at just 45 years of marriage) brought our voted ballots to the county registrars office last Friday after mailing my 450 postcards to voters. Signs were posted prohibiting electioneering. As we walked away from the drop box, a woman walked to the slot, dropped her ballot and, with a sly smile, put her palms together and looked to the heavens. Then as we walked down the corridor another couple approached, tapped their ballots and smiled broadly. No electioneering, but lots of hope and joy. We all knew!
Our daughter and son-in-law early voted on the second day polls were open here in New Mexico. There were no lines, but many voters. My daughter said it was all smiles and felt like a party.
Im happy I live in a blue area!

(12 posts)Congratulations on your vote and marriage. Both of these are an inspiration to me. I had the honor of voting for Harris Waltz in Georgia on Wednesday.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
