MAGAT phenomenon comes and goes, but every election, the wealthy business class - mostly white men and their wives - vote Republican. They believe that Republicans are better for the economy. (This isn't true but the myth persists.)

If the wealthy white suburbanites turn against Trump he will lose. There aren't enough MAGATs to make up the difference. This is what happened in 2008 when Obama won. I hope it happens this year.
