After reading Bob Woodward's latest book "War" I am 110% certain we won't survive another 4 years with Trump as Commander-In-Chief. Period.

It's honestly a miracle we made it through his first term. And by "we" I mean the human race.

Trump is certifiably insane. The idea of this malignant narcissist with rapidly progressing dementia controlling the nuclear codes again should keep any American interested in self preservation up at night.

There's been hundreds of books like Woodward's warning the electorate just how dangerous and cruel Trump is.

That's why if Kamala Harris wins this election I won't be celebrating. I'll be breathing a sigh of relief that our country dodged a bullet for the 2nd time in 4 years. And on inauguration day when she's sworn in I'll finally be able to exhale fully for the first time since that traitor slithered down the escalator in 2015.

I can't even fathom the other outcome.

I feel like January 6th happened yesterday. And here we are, barreling towards another Trump coup attempt. The last 4 years have flown by. Having a competent and compassionate administration in the White House is something I'll never take for granted again.

First of all most people only have a the vaguest notion of what happened in the run-up to WWII. Most people don't know that a Fascist cabal attempted to overthrow the election of FDR. Most people don't really understand what "fascism" really means and cannot comprehend that the USA as we know it could be effectively destroyed by this menace.

Unless we fix this - we are in deep trouble.

For people that have been paying attention for the last 50 years, not one thing that has transpired with Trump and the MAGA fascists should come as a surprise. It didn't to me.

Once Limbaugh started preaching his hate filled propaganda back in the early 80's it didn't take a genius to see the someone like Trump would one day emerge.

But corporations wanted to suppress the ugly truth because you can't make money if people are forewarned and knowledgeable. Infotainment instead of journalism made them untold billions.

Because even if we dodge a bullet this time - MAGA and the Fascist Right are working every single day to put their boot on your neck.

What is frustrating is that the media didn't even acknowledge Trump's insanity until after January 6th. It was only then that they began to admit the reality the he was a Fascist who was ready willing and able to destroy everything we fought and died for in this country. And they still willy-wobble around that central truth.

The problem is of course that overall, Americans are uninformed and ignorant and apathetic. This is to a great extent why they can't or don't want to comprehend the ultimate threat that Trump faces to every single one of us.

Wish I had a way to fix that.
