Supreme Court strips Cohen of constitutional rights but no they won't help Trump steal the election.

That’s what several of you have assured me of that I don’t have to worry about the United States Supreme Court siding illegally an unconstitutionally in some case that ends up handing the election to Trump, they didn’t do it 2016 so they won’t do it now right!

There’s absolutely nothing this group won’t do, no line they won’t cross. 🤬

Like i've mentioned here before, I'm not one bit worried about wining this election, BUT for the first time i DO NOT trust THIS court. I expect bad shit to happen from this court. Hope i'm wrong.

All SCOTUS did was reject the further appeal. I'm not sure what any of that has to do with handing the election to Trump.

This case was always problematic because the circumstances under which someone can sue are extremely limited. It was on that basis that the lower court dumped it.

Cohen also faced a tall hurdle the Supreme Court has created that makes it difficult for any American to sue federal law enforcement. A 1971 Supreme Court decision, Bivens v. Six Unknown Named Agents, established that people could sue federal agents if their rights were violated. But the court has been unwilling to expand that right beyond a very limited number of circumstances.

He lost at the district court. He took it to the Second Circuit where a three judge panel that included two Biden appointees ruled unanimously against him. He sought rehearing en banc where he needed to get 7 judges out of 12 to support his petition -- there are six Biden appointees and an Obama appointee. He failed again. So he went to the Supreme's with a petition for certiorari in a case where there was no indication of any judge having been convinced by his previous pleadings. Grant of a petition for certiorari is rare and it was utterly unsurprising that the Supreme Court did not grant Cohen's petition -- one of more than 60 they denied today. And no Justice indicated that they would have granted his petition.

We need to reform that court as a first order of business if Harris wins. BUT WE NEED CONGRESS and the SENATE to do it. Along with everything else: restoring Roe, restoring voting rights, passing the “No Kings” act to undo the court’s asinine “Trump is a King” ruling and so on.
