(28,836 posts)I guess that CNN interview when he clearly made his opinions known and provided confirmation of several of Trump's greatest hits doesn't count as speaking out.

(28,836 posts)August 2022:
You f---ing generals, why cant you be like the German generals? Trump asked then-White House chief of staff John Kelly, according to an excerpt of The Divider: Trump in the White House, 2017-2021, co-written by New Yorker staff writer Susan Glasser and New York Times correspondent Peter Baker.

As for Kelly talking about disqualifying actions, I guess you're looking for him to comment now, but he's been quite clear on the matter, including on TV.
October 2023:
A person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women, Kelly continued. A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about. A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason in expectation that someone will take action. A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.
There is nothing more that can be said, Kelly concluded. God help us.

(262 posts)Liz Cheney acted like she knew or believed that there would be more to come. I disagree with John Kellys probably politics, but I dont think hes a coward and I dont think hes a sell out.
I could see him being misguided in thinking putting it into print is enough and he is not an attention seeker. So he may be think going on TV cheapens his warning. If thats what hes thinking hes wrong. People dont read. They need a visual.
