Harris/Walz are not likely to lose many of those votes.
PLUS record numbers of new women, LGBQT+, Black, Asian and Hispanic/Latino voters have registered for this election. Most likely to vote for Harris.
PLUS record numbers of current and former republican office holders have publicly declared for
H/W and have started several PACs and other organizations to convince other R's to support her or at least not vote for Trump.
PLUS H/W has opened more campaign offices and have received record amounts of donations to operate those offices.
Meanwhile the Trump/Vance(Musk) campaign has not put any effort into campaigning other than PAC political ads and their flailing rallies and press conferences, and have been losing adherents steadily.
Someone please explain to me how this adds up to a close election. How does H/W not win by several million votes over B/H 2020?
The polls are slanted, the MSM lies for profits. Please try to ease any anxiety you may have over this election and sleep easy.

(55,129 posts)I agree with the OP basically. Harris/Walz should pulling in well north of 82 million votes, perhaps 90 million or more.
Trump is focusing on those who don't vote, and that is a considerable number, like maybe 100 million. But no way will he come close to adding 20 million to his 2020 totals. 4 million tops. Trouble is most of his adds will be in swing states. Pennsylvania will be tighter a drum, a real squeaker.

That's why the huge increase in turnout from 2016.

(2,504 posts)Millions of more Dem voters on the east coast, west coast, and Illinois does nothing to win her the Presidency. It all comes down to the swing states. She could gain 10 million new votes from big blue states and he could gain 100k new votes in swing states and win because of the Electoral College.
