(6,287 posts)When Biden was still in the race his key message was basically Trump is a threat to democracy. The pundits kept saying that the need to preserve democracy wasnt a compelling enough reason for most people to vote for Biden because the concept of democracy was too abstract. 🙄
So now its come to this. Trump was a fascist & a treat to democracy then, and he remains so today. The only difference now is that we have a bit more proof.

(790 posts)Especially when there's not a single goddamn reason apart from amnesia about how bad the economy got under Trump during COVID for imagining that the blustering incompetent idiot could do better than Harris.
But yeah, let's not worry about not being able to vote Trump or his successors out of office if we don't like what they do, and let's not were about being in the kind of country where people are "disappeared" and never heard from again because, gosh, have you seen the price of eggs?

(9,347 posts)that 23 Nobel Prize-winning economists called Harris' economic plans "vastly superior" to Trump's. Don't worry about drilling down too deep because they will just forget details anyway.
What is just as important is noting how many other prominent Republicans are backing Harris over Trump. It is highly unusual and stands out among the expected electoral noise.
