Mark Hamill: I canceled our subscription to the LA Times because I want to make it clear that I am not okay with them

being silent. In dangerous times, honest people need to stand up. This is the only way to show I’m standing up.- mh

I am so tired of celebrity worship on both sides of the aisle. Some non-famous person does it, no one cares. Some famous person does it, it's breaking news.

Millionaires have stronger voices than non-wealthy. Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.

in instances like this by canceling subscriptions or memberships AND letting the entity know WHY. Canceling without explanation has far less impact.

I care about every drop in OUR tidal wave of blue, about every action to retain our democracy. Of course I'm no one, only another drop. But if enough of us care about every other drop, we will form OUR tidal wave of caring.

I'm guessing it's their way of tying to boost statewide circulation. Cowards.

and Walz for governor in 2018 & 2022. While it has tended to split on House seats, it has pretty consistenly endorsed DFL Senate candidates.

The paper has long had a reputation of "leaning left". So much so that the conservatives in the sate think they're being clever by calling it the "Red Star".

Of course with circulation dropping, newspapers no longer have the luxury of pissing off a third of their readers. So maybe this is a financial decision.

Toasted the NYT this spring and just cancelled the Washington Post today.

I hate that - these journalists need to make a living, but this sitting on the sidelines thing when these aren't the days of mere policy disagreements is just too dangerous.
