There a truck going thru the parking lot with a Trump flag hang off the doors on the trailer along with an American flag. He has made several passes thru the lot looking for a parking spot. It has was 20 minutes since I first saw him come by. He passed several open spots, but I guess he wanted to park closer to the building. Finally he got a spot after someone left. He parked a few spots away from me. I watched him get out of truck wearing a Trump hat and as he walked by my truck he was wearing a t shirt with f Brandon on the back. I decided to follow him into the truck stop to get a cold drink. As he walked in an employee saw him and must have seen his shirt. The kid politely walked over to him and told him he must leave. The guy started to argue, but the kid said that the shirt was offensive and stated they had the right to refuse service to anyone who deemed to be problem. The guy left mad, uttering that he would never come back.
I used the restroom and grabbed my cold drink and went to the cashier to pay. The kid was the cashier too. I told him that he was brave to say something to that guy. He replied it happens an awful lot and the owner has instructed them to be polite and ask them to leave.
I applaud the truck stop owner for doing this. But as I left that driver was gone!

(6,084 posts)people make circles through a parking lot so they can get a spot really close when maybe 10 spaces way its clear and plenty of spots. I like parking in those areas so no one parks next to me and dings my doors. I don't mine walking, its good exercise. I also always take the stairs at work....well so long as its not a lot of floors. 10 floors and I would take the elevator, but 3 or 4 and its the stairs. Way back when I was a kid, I took the stairs to the top of the Washington Monument in D.C. THAT was a climb!

If he needs a parking spot to take a 10, and it's late?
He better hope he finds something before the little apple.

(1,783 posts)Or he's in trouble with the law, and then he can call Trump and cry about it all day long, since he likely wouldn't have a job to worry about anymore.

Yeah, I even see a few of those around here in north Minneapolis. They are not very overt in their attitudes, but they display their crap with gusto. They also do not seem to talk to anyone when I encounter them at the store. They know how delicate their position is around here.

(388 posts)The shirt, flag and other offensive junk is intended to intimidate. When bullies are by themselves they cower and run away. They don't even attempt to justify their offensive behavior. They know they ae wrong, but can't admit it.

(5 posts)So the guy is wearing a Trump hat and a t-shirt that says "F Brandon" and he should be denied entry into a public place? If he was creating a scene then thrown him out, but it does not sound like this is the case. Wouldn't this be like me going into some place with anti-Trump attire and being thrown out? To me this is feeding the division Trump is causing. Are we going to have two sets of truck stops for now on? Restaurants? Stores? This country is better than that and Maggots have rights too.
Rabrrrrrr
(58,374 posts)and a business should be able to refuse entry to such people, whether it's "Fuck Brandon" or "Fuck Trump" or the great t-shirts we used to have at UW-Madison, "Fuck 'em Bucky!"

(5 posts)I was also thinking the shirt actually said "Fuck Brandon" and I suppose its fair debate as to whether you should be kicked out of a place for wearing a shirt that says fuck. I don't think so, not in a vacuum.
p.s. We used to say "Muck Fishigan" at U of Illinois - much more appropriate. LOL

(16,413 posts)Many states have laws against electioneering within so many feet of a polling place.
I have seen a candidate asked to leave because he was shaking hands with voters on their way in to vote. He obliged and left.
This guy was an ass, he obliged and after he voted put his hat back on. He was asked to remove it until he left the building.
He then punched the poll worker.
Do you really believe this is feeding the division? I think it is the result of trump and his hate filled rallies. Asswipes like this believe they have the right to do whatever they want, without consequences. They are nothing more than trump's brownshirts.

(58,374 posts)They're all fucking cowards. It's only the presence of Trump that makes them feel strong, or if they are in a group. But alone? Seems like whether it's in person or on-line, they cannot deal with anyone calling them on their shit and they get terrified and run away/stop typing, usually with some irrelevant comment like "You're probably part of the pervo sex cult and you murder babies!"
