Loves me some Coach Walz ... He asked to say hi to a dog from the owner.

I just saw a clip (msnbc) of Coach W in North Carolina where he was greeting people
and asked somebody, “Is it OK if I say hi?” He then leaned down to get some
doggie kisses (lab puppy I think) and then thanked the owner.

4. The wife and I clocked that and watched it again. I've seen him stop and greet/pet other dogs too.

He is a true dog lover and good man.

7. It was just a simple act of kindness and class between the Coach, the dog, the dog's owners, and ...

… the people around them. Asking the dog’s owner if it was Ok for him “to say hi” which
showed respect and an understanding of dogs too.

8. As it should be. I always ask their humans' permission before saying

"hi" to a new animal, even if the tail is already wagging. And, if I happen to have treats, I absolutely ask their humans' permission.

to hug me, or lean against my legs.
