I made a mistake, I missed an important email for 24 hours (a new first for the DU)
Senator Blood sent this to me yesterday. A recent upgrade to my mail client screwed up my receiving this email. It was intended to be shared about 24 hours ago. The DU did such a good job with the weekend fundraiser, it made a possibility for Carol to send out a mailer IF she can raise a few more dollars. We won't know how much her blast email raises from her regular donors. We will only see our progress. Those that missed the first fund-raiser, I asked for as little as $3. It adds up. We start today with $2,728 already raised. This is the first time a candidate has openly asked for help with a fund-raiser on the DU. Please give this post an R, so it can be read by all.

It's rare when I reach out to you more than every 7 to 10 days. I know you are bombarded by many campaigns, and I try to respect your time. However, today we have an urgent ask. We are trying to raise another $2,5000 to get out an important mailing to voters and we need to raise this amount in the next 48 hours. If we don't, we will have to cancel our mailing to area voters because we don't want to spend funds if we don't have them in hand.
As an update, as of today we have knocked on 43,849 doors. People say we aren't serious because we haven't raised millions of dollars. I say, we don't want to buy our way into office and drink from the trough of lobbyists. We are so serious we are wearing out our shoes. We are canvassing in areas that have never had campaigns at their doors, and for the last 8 months, we've knocked on the doors of Republicans, Democrats, Independents and others because we know that if elected, we represent ALL Nebraskans and not just one party
It's time to elect people who have proven they can bring this country together. People who don't pay their way into office or are beholden to special interest. I've proven myself for 16 years and I can't even begin to tell you how motivated I am to see this to the end.
