Leon Musk Hasn't Paid Anyone For Registering To Vote

I wasn't aware that everyone who registered was supposed to be paid 47 dollars, none of those people were paid let alone the ones who won the million.

The thing is that even if these people are never paid they will still stupidly vote for TSF.

How would something like that be administrated on short notice? There was some mention of the million dollar payouts yet I've seen nothing reported, no giant checks with the winners. You would expect that, no?

Honestly why not sign up for the money even if you might already be registered. As long as you only vote one time/election (or not at all) it shouldn't matter? Vote as you normally would.

Voters in some States sometimes will re-register (switch parties) to pull an alternate primary ballot, then vote for the other Party in the general election.

Paying people to register for one Party only inflates the number of registrations for the party in the State, not the actual votes. I know many Utah registered "Republicans" that vote for Democrats in the general election but attend caucuses to try to influence who the Republicans will nominate.

You had to sign the petition and have another person sign, listing you as their referrer. Being a registered voter was a requirement to qualify.

And, yes, some were signing up just for the cash. Probably quite a few.

You had to sign the petition and another person had to sign the petition listing you as their referrer.

From the Rolling Stone article in my other response:

Elon Musk‘s America PAC initially promised $47 per signature on a short statement: “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.” The form asks for the signatory’s name, phone number, email address, and mailing address. However, you don’t get $47 for signing the pledge yourself, and can only claim this money if you refer another registered voter who signs, listing you as their referrer. Both individuals must be registered voters in Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin for the referrer to be eligible for payment.
