(3,767 posts)How much money can he make if he has information to sell about your every moment of the day? People get worried about cookies tracking their every move on the internet but how about a 24/7 movement cookie recording your life. Im pretty sure it would include a notice about how the information would be used to help the robots performance.

(21,290 posts)And how dangerous could the thing be while you're asleep if the software "failed" or was "misdirected" by a "controller" or AI that decided they didn't like you?

(102,904 posts)Picking you up and chucking you out a window! Or breaking you in half. No thanks. I would never be able to sleep knowing one of those was within a mile of me.

(18,638 posts)The mechanical and the software.
The entire robot might cost $20,000
But the AI software might fit in a nightstand based thing the size of a baseball... and cost $1500 like an iPhone
And have the same abilities of Optimus without the mobility or utility.
AI will be invaluable for many populations including the elderly and shut-ins.
