Ok, everyone wants to know about David Rem, billed for tonight's Trump MSG rally as "his childhood friend."
Don't say I don't do anything for you guys.
Here is Rem being interviewed by David Zere in May about how he went to Trump's school 17 years after Trump, and how after his father died, Fred Trump visited his mother to say he would pay for his tuition.🧵
Rem attempted to run for Congress in AOC's district this year, the 14th CD in The Bronx, but didn't collect enough signatures. He is a regular at events, heckling pols about migrants, often with his friend Jonathan Rinaldi, the Sperminator former Queens City Council candidate guy with all the sperm donation offspring.
Rem is a full-time sanitation worker in the city. His father was friendly with Fred Trump (who was on the school's board) and Fred Trump paid for all of the Rem kids to stay in private school, someone who knows him well told me.
Donald Trump signed Rem's yearbook at that recent Kristi Noem swaying to music PA rally after spotting Rem in the crowd. Rem says his mother's dying wish was to shake Trump's hand. She is deceased so Trump shook his hand. I was told Rem is very nervous about tonight.
And yes, Rem looks like the same David Rem who was arrested in 1992 after leaving his suitcase with 18 kilograms of cocaine on a train from LA to Chicago, per someone who knows him well and records.
"In 1991, David Rem pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a) (1). He was sentenced to 151 months in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release." He testified that he was working as a courier.
His friend says Rem is a good guy and "reformed."

(131,254 posts)He managed to come up with some guy who went to TFG's same school 17 years later, the son of a friend of Fred Sr. who paid his tuition (even Fred, a known asshole, seems to have been more generous than his son), and whose past includes a significant drug bust. Ren clearly is not Trump's childhood friend if he was 17 years behind him in school.

(126,683 posts)David Rem boarded a train in Los Angeles destined for Chicago. He departed the train during a stop outside Chicago, but left his suitcase containing 18 kilograms of cocaine on the train. After all passengers deboarded in Chicago, the police obtained the suitcase and opened it without a search warrant. Rem pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute but reserved the right to appeal the district court's denial of Rem's motion to suppress. The district court found that the suitcase was abandoned, leaving Rem with no expectation of privacy. We affirm the district court ...

(126,683 posts)In 1991, David Rem pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a) (1). He was sentenced to 151 months in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release. Near the end of his prison sentence, Rem completed a substance abuse treatment program that qualified him for early release under 18 U.S.C. § 3621(e) (2) (B). In October 2000, Rem brought a declaratory judgment action asserting he should not be subject to 18 U.S.C. § 4042(b) (enacted in 1994), which requires that state and local law enforcement be notified in writing of the release of a person convicted of a drug trafficking crime or a crime of violence. Rem argued Congress did not intend to apply § 4042(b) to a prisoner who qualifies for early release, his conviction did not fall under the statute, and the notification requirement is unconstitutional. In March 2001, the district court* granted summary judgment to the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) ...

(1,250 posts)... and under criminal "indictments" in three (3) separate other State and Federal jurisdictions for 54 additional major Felony Crimes asks another convicted Felon, convicted of Federal narcotics trafficking of 18 kilograms of cocaine (that's 39.68 pounds) to attest to his so-called "character" at a Nazi Bund rally. Raise your hand if you have ever walked around with 40 pounds of cocaine in a suitcase!
