How to reach Amazon's press office re: Bezos blocking Washington Post endorsement

Instead of cancelling subscriptions to the Washington Post, which harms reporters providing some of the best and only coverage on key issues in our nation's capitol, I've opted to cut off purchases at Amazon instead. Bezos owns both, and may believe that his tacit support of Trump may be good for his major business, Amazon.com. You may wish to convince him otherwise.

I contacted the press office at Amazon to voice outrage over Bezos (blocking the Post's editorial staff from endorsing Harris. I told them that corporate masters should never interfere with a free press, particularly when the future of our democracy is at stake with a fascist, twice-impeached convicted felon and wannabe dictator running for the presidency. I told them that although I've spent thousands of dollars on Amazon in the past year (including furnishings, items for fundraisers, gifts and more) that I will not be buying anything from the for the foreseeable future unless Bezos reverses this decision ASAP.

I am not trying to be negative on this idea (and I WILL do so as well), but honestly, where are the masses going to go? hlthe2b Oct 2024 #3

We all have to send that message. I too am doing my best to avoid Amazon. Looking into my purchase history and buying elsewhere, where possible.

Amazon is such a damned monopoly--having driven out so much of the brick-and-mortar local options--with Walmart (and to some degree, Target) as the only major alternatives. While I have long shopped at Target, Walmart is a guilty necessity for some items I can't find elsewhere.

Walmart is hardly less despicable (for so many reasons than Amazon.

I don't mean to be negative (once again) but I sure wish we had more to offer as motivation to those really upset at what Bezos has done.

for us to learn how to wean ourselves from what is just too easy, take the extra step to find alternatives. I am committed to try.

i'm seeing more alternatives in the last couple of years. Ebay has actually been a good choice for some items.
