USA Today, the nations fourth largest newspaper, says its joining The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times in not endorsing a presidential candidate this election.

(5,149 posts)maybe because the same-day issue was available for free at every hotel I've every stayed at, all over the country. I think the fact that it's not *based* somewhere makes me (and the newspaper men and women I've know) dismiss its importance.
I would have been surprised if they *had* endorsed someone.

They've never endorsed a presidential candidate in their history. It's seems odd that they would now say they're joining other papers in not endorsing, when that's always been their policy. If anything, the other papers are joining USA Today in adopting a non-endorsement policy.
They didn't endorse anyone in 2016, like all other elections, but they did tell readers not to vote for Trump.
