'Did you say I should be killed?' Chaos as CNN GOP guest threatens pro-Palestine panelist.
A CNN panel erupted on Monday after a Republican strategist told a former MSNBC host "I hope your beeper doesn't go off" a reference to an Israeli attack involving pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon that targeted the militant group Hezbollah.
The comment came on CNN's "NewsNight" during a discussion over racist remarks made during a rally for former President Donald Trump.
Mehdi Hasan, a former MSNBC host and current editor-in-chief of Zeteo, asserted on the panel that even one such remark would've functionally ended the presidential campaigns of Mitt Romney or John McCain.

(5,240 posts)Some Palestinians would sit out this election or vote for Trump.
The response by Biden has been limited, and I'm not on board with support for the current Israeli regime's actions, but I'm not sure how we can do much more.

(7,293 posts)But, what they have done is far too much in comparison to the massacre on Oct. 7th. And I also support 100% a Palestinian state. I support the people who just want to have permanent homes. Feed their kids. Have decent jobs.
Israel and netenyahu need to let go of the pipe dream that they can have the same borders as ancient Zion. Sorry, but other people live there now and have a right to be there.
My solution? A two state solution. A free Palestine and a free Israel within the modern borders. Give it up, bibi.

(1,284 posts)If Palestine choses Hamas, who are we to say no? We elect people here every election that are basically Hamas-lite, or worse. Look at the current MAGA nonsense. We are in no real position to be telling other countries how to govern themselves. We are no shining light on the hill, though many of us hope to be better and become a better example. We do a lot right, but a lot wrong, as well.
I got an A+ on an essay on the topic "My country, right or wrong". My argument was that if it's right, keep it right, and if it's wrong, make it right. I found that phrase somewhere and based the whole essay on what it meant, in my opinion. The instructor said he always enjoyed reading my writing. Made my ego surge for a minute. LOL

(7,293 posts)That ship has sailed, centuries ago. They need to get wth modern times and quit trying to own it all. Israel has a nice swath of land, now. Give up on returning to the past. We need to all get along.

(7,256 posts)Every MAGAt craves attention like a 2-year old child. Just like the clown in MSG, they spread the brand f being racist by publicly being vile and stupid, and then tempering remarks later.
Dont fall for it. I believe them the first time, and I also understand their game. The most important response is not give their comments any attention, and dont make them a victim when they cry crocodile tears begging forgiveness.

Just like Dear Leader. Anything to get the attention onto himself, and away from his plans--and how vile they are, and away from VP Harris and her campaign.

Im expecting a Trump landslide. Im also expecting Trump to equal or beat Reagans 1984 state win. Too big to rig!
I am starting to think this is going to be a historic big win blowout for Trump.
