To me it is pretty obvious, republicans are pushing that trump has got

the election sewn up, expressing confidence, over-confidence, through election betting markets, Wall Street cronies on financial networks pushing that theme, with the sole purpose of trying to demoralize supporters of VP Harris-Walz, hoping it will suppress turnout.

That isn’t going to happen. In fact by all accounts just the opposite is happening.

GOTV also refers to encouraging like-minded individuals, to go vote too. I always pester friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family members to go vote. Too many people take voting for granted.

His supporters share that view, so he's trying to motivate them into believing they're voting for a sure winner. If they think he's going to lose, they might be less likely to show up.

I think that's the intent for this particular strategy. They have lots of other stuff intended to suppress turnout.

another one, maybe THE other one is to just keep feeding the beast (i.e., the Republican base, a.k.a. MAGA) so that it doesn't turn it's always-boiling rage on THEM. All it takes is one word to make you THE ENEMY, a TRAITOR, so they don't use any of those words.

A poll yesterday showed that Kamala's support with black men had gone up over what Joe Biden received. She is doing very well with black men, according to yesterday's poll.

TFG is a one trick blubberer and so are they. It remains to be seen whether it plays any better this time than it did in 2020.

I don't think it will. For one thing, we're not traumatized by some plague.

And if Johnson tries to use Congress to override a 270+ vote EC victory, Biden is the one with the extraordinary presidential power now, courtesy a corrupt USSC, and he'd be well within his scope of power to arrest Johnson and his helpers for treason, levying war against the US government and its peaceful transition of power. Would he do that? He'd bloody well better, or it's all over for us.

and be willing to do anything to overturn the election. To support the House and States not certifying the election. Maybe to even make themselves credible with SCOTUS.

The propaganda during WWI convinced the Germans they were winning the war. Of course this wasn't true and they had no choice but surrender. But the people blamed the politicians who negotiated the surrender for giving away a German victory. This helped lead to Hitler taking over.

Trump will have his people so convinced they are winning they won't accept another result.
