MI-SEN: Slotkin holds narrow lead over Rogers in Michigan Senate race aided by key bloc: poll

Democratic U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin has a nearly 4 percentage point lead over Republican former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers in a new statewide poll in the hot race for Michigan's open U.S. Senate seat one week out from Election Day, with Slotkin bolstered by support among union households.

The three-term congresswoman from Holly had 46.2% of support from likely Michigan voters to 42.5% for Rogers, a former seven-term congressman from White Lake Township, according to the poll commissioned by The Detroit News and WDIV-TV (Channel 4). About 6.7% of respondents still were undecided and about 5% were backing third-party candidate

Slotkin's lead is within the survey's margin of error of plus-minus 4 percentage points. The poll of 600 likely general election voters was conducted Oct. 22-24 by the Lansing-based polling firm Glengariff Group. About 83% of voters were contacted by operators on a cellphone.

About 4.7% of survey participants selected one of four third-party hopefuls, including 2.3% who said they'd be supporting Libertarian Party nominee Joseph Solis-Mullen, according to the survey results.

applies, if Trump (and by extension any Republican) has a 4 point lead, regardless of MOE, it is comfortable. If it is Harris (or was Biden, or is any Democrat) it is narrow.
