12. Check the laws in your state

In Ohio, the only people allowed in the polling place are poll workers, who trained prior to the current election, and took an oath that day, voters, people assisting a person who needs help, like guiding to the booth, young children accompanied by an adult (parent?), law enforcement, news media, and certified poll watchers. Clothing and campaign activities are barred within 100 feet from the entrance to the polling place.

We'll mark that perimeter with flags.

I hope you're allowed to be near your polling place, and can get photos of iffy people approaching, or call 911 if they look dangerous.

In this county, all available deputies will be patrolling all day Tuesday. We got some conflict management tips at the training session, which I hope we won't need. The B.o.E. official said they weren't afraid of local citizens, but were worried about outside influences.
