Musk can continue with election cash giveaways for now, judge rules 4 hours ago

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0en401330jo

Elon Musk can continue to give away cash to registered voters - for now, a Pennsylvania state judge has said.
(snip)

Philadelphia District Attorney Lawrence Krasner sued Musk this week over the $1m (£770,000) giveaways and said Musk "must be stopped, immediately, before the upcoming presidential election".

At a hearing on Thursday, Judge Angelo Foglietta said the lawsuit will be put on hold while a federal court decides whether to take up the case. If the federal court choses not to rule on the matter, the case will go back to the state court.

It is unlikely the case will be resolved before Tuesday's election.

I don't see how anyone can view this as legal acceptable behavior. How is it not vote buying?

Now they call it an illegal lottery.

It's not a scheme to buy votes, it's not a scheme to force register because PA registration has been closed since start of lottery.
