Execrable campaign ad, Catholic anti-Choice, fetus

It aired on NBC during Today - first a black screen "warning/disclaimer," saying (paraphrase), The U.S. government requires this warning about some images that might be disturbing...". Then there was a morbidly obese Cardinal seated at a desk, looking menacingly scary and disturbing himself, introducing the anti-Choice topic, followed by stills of a non-surgical abortion, blood all over the screen, bloody fetus feet sticking out, more.  At closing the scary Cardinal was back, threatening, "If you are a Catholic, ACT LIKE ONE."

As a lapsed Catholic, I have maintained a bit of nostalgia for (the rituals?) of "the Olde Religion" (as Henry VIII's subjects said for a couple of generations after their forced split), but the olde intimidation, brainwashing, guilt, manipulation doesn't work. The real atrocity is the Middle Ages, Mel GIBSON, Leonard LEO, Inquisition version bearing no resemblance to "christianity" - with the truly horrific issue being theocracy as one facet of the overall authoritarianism threatening to replace democracy.

A YouTube search didn't result in the specific video here, but there are plenty others there, featuring a "priest" putting a fetus on an altar and such.  At a Hillary rally, as we attendees were walking from the parking lot to the venue, there was a Catholic protester, scowling at us, holding a poster. Some of my better selves attendees said good-morning pleasantly to her, to which she remained stoney as a statue. I said within her earshot, "Well, *I'm* not saying good-morning."  Authoritarian, intolerant of me? - oh, just ACTING LIKE A CATHOLIC.

The Inquisition, what a show
The Inquisition, here we go
We know you're wishing
That we'd go away
But the Inquisition's here and it's here to stay

It's the biggest, bloodiest grifting scam in history. Its main purpose is to rake in billions and protect and promote male supremacy through fucking STUPID stories about non-existent magical beings with penises (cuz only males can be magical and rule the entire universe, right?). I'm so sick of this EVIL institution's centuries-long reign of terror against the women on this planet.

My 83 year old sister goes to Mass every day. At one time she had a circle of fellow members of a sub-cult, fraternizing for decades, pilgriming together. When the politics heated up, one of them told her that she will go to hell because of the Choice issue.

by arrogant males wearing silly big hats. The RCC is a large, abusive, women-hating cult. It belongs on the dustbin of history.

As a 'fallen rosary rattler', what a load of manure. Having attended their schools for 12 years and having seen the hypocrisy of it all, how sad. Religion is indeed, the 'opiate of the masses'.

The "Fall" as in Original Sin. "Hard" like being so pure and self-righteous that it's O.K. for all those other people to be doomed.
