Multibillionaire Elon Musk, who is currently spending millions to help elect Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, said Americans will face hardship if cuts to government spending are made in a possible Trump presidency.
Musk made the comments during a virtual town hall meeting held by his political action committee, America PAC.
We have to reduce spending to live within our means, Musk said. That necessarily involves some temporary hardship, but it will ensure long-term prosperity.
Musk is worth an estimated $270 billion and has been floated as the possible head of a government efficiency commission under Trump. In an interview with Fox News Sean Hannity on Tuesday night, Trump praised Musk as a great cost cutter.

This is the inevitable result of 40-plus years of deregulation, "voodoo economics", and the coddling of far-right "think" tanks and their moronic policy prescriptions.

it was a late night thing
and he would wax poetic every time he had someone from the American Enterprise Institute on his program. One night, he had Studs Terkel on ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studs_Terkel ) and Terkel was so awesome and articulate
Gibson looked at him incredulously and said well, youre just an old lefty, arent you? and dismissed everything that was said.
I hated that walking piece of human waste from that moment forward.
