The Atlantic is on it: "... pantomime the act of giving fellatio..."

Trump Needs Help
Last night he simulated oral sex in public.
Tom Nichols

I do not know how to put this gently or tastefully, so I will factually describe what happened last night in Milwaukee: A former president of the United States held a rally, during which he used a microphone holder on his podium to pantomime the act of giving fellatio.

I could have put it differently. I might have said that “a cognitively impaired man, who has long been showing signs of serious emotional instability and has a history of sexism and racism, engaged in crude behavior in front of a large audience.” But that wouldn’t capture an important reality:

This deeply impaired man is tied in the race to become the next president and could be holding the codes to the U.S. nuclear arsenal in less than three months.

I don’t know if this bizarre display will move votes away from Donald Trump. Nothing seems to dent the loyalty of his base. Trump voters are resolute in their determination to minimize his ghastly antics, or even to scrub them from their minds. (As one commenter said on social media today, Trump’s new mantra might be: “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and blow somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?”)

My first thought when I saw the clip was that he looked like he had done this before. Maybe Vlad? At any rate he make make somebody a good wife someday soon.

I need eye bleach.

This episode has me horrified for all the reasons in Tom Nichols column. The fact that we live in a nation where people will vote for someone exhibiting this behavior has me terrified.

I heard an interview with Jeffrey Goldberg, the Editor in Chief, and he pointed out that The Atlantic has only made five POTUS endorsements in its century and a half plus history: Lincoln in 1860 (obvious stakes there), LBJ in 1964 (note that was against Goldwater), Clinton in 2016, Biden in 2020, and Harris in 2024. And the reason for the last three is all the same -- TCF is totally unfit for office and a danger to The Republic.

... or even never before made an endorsement (e.g., a sports team, like the Seattle Storm) recognize it's a moral imperative to stand up at this juncture, WaPo and LA Times choose to stand down in betrayal of their duty as independent journalists to publish the unvarnished truth and thus fulfill their duty to the public they claim to serve.

But more important, manifesting this kind of disinhibited behavior in public more and more often is a warning sign that he is simply not stable enough to sit in the Oval Office.

He may not be stable enough to sit, but he would definitely shit in the Oval Office.

use the phrase "Hawk Tuah" in a sentence. Considering that his followers have already worn Depends, maxi-pads, and trash bags in solidarity, I'm surprised they haven't started emulating this yet.

... on my way home from the supermarket when I heard some simpleton say this election is a vote for the lesser of two evils. Ya see, Kamala was a prosecutor who put people in jail, and the Orange Pantload is just a poor, misunderstood felon. SHE PUT CRIMINALS IN JAIL, YOU SHITWIT! And why the bloody blue fuck do we allow a felon to run for ANY office, never mind the presidency?!!? That sonofabitch can't vote (until he's served his sentence) or own a firearm, but sure, here are the Nuclear Launch Codes! There are no words to describe how fucked up THAT is. And you can bet your baby's butt that Republicans will fight tooth and nail to prevent Dems from rectifying that little oversight.
Christ on a crutch, I despise those fuckin' people.
