Hugh Hewitt embarrassingly storms off show and quits Washington Post

he couldn't take it when they so unfairly claimed Trump was laying the groundwork to dispute the election. So unfair!

After initially criticizing Trump in 2016 (including suggesting the GOP replace him with Ivanka on the ticket), he flipped and turned into a sycophant. He called Trump last week to tell him that he voted for him.

Hewitt is a lawyer (and very proud of being one) and recommended Luttig for Supreme Court under Bush, and for AG after Sessions quit.

But not a word about Luttig since he testified at the Jan 6 hearing. No mention at all. And actually explained to someone that he never talks about Jan 6 itself on his radio show, because his listeners don't want to hear about it.

He has always been of the "Republicans are always right, and even when they change their view they were still right both times" school.

...on the way out, you fucking servile toady. Trust me, you won't be getting any calls returned by the network after that juvenile outburst.

I remember when this guy (Hewitt) was part of the whole neocon movement, which was bad enough, but then he just kept moving farther and farther right to suck up to the Trump regime. It's hard to tell how much of it is even sincere on his part, because most of these talk radio morons are part of the wingnut welfare grift, and that gig is all about pushing the Overton Window constantly rightward. It's like pure uncut heroin to the listeners--the more extreme it goes, the more they need.

So unlike some of the other neocons who finally reached their limit with Trump (e.g. the Cheneys, Bill Kristol), Hewitt doubles down on fascism. Good riddance.

I, for one, would very much to see the door hit him in the ass, even though it might chip a tooth.
